Mobility in North Macedonia
After
the approval of the project "Game for SEL," the coordinators of this
project held the first meeting where they got to know each other, examined the
project goals in detail, and distributed the tasks they needed to work on. The
next meeting was to define the activities and dates of mobility in each of the
participating countries. Once the mobilities were decided, North Macedonia was
chosen as the first country to host.
Students
from North Macedonia were introduced to the project and participated in it
through various activities. First, they created flags through which they got to
know the countries participating in the project. Then we joined a Zoom meeting
to meet our classmates from other countries and together we celebrated Erasmus
Days.
Next were the preparations for the mobility in
North Macedonia. The planned activities are as follows:
Once the team from our project arrives in our
country, all participants will get to know each other. They will present their
country, get acquainted with the schools, the number of students, their plans
and programs with special attention to classroom teaching and the age of
children from 6 to 10 years, shift work in schools, the work of the
professional staff, classroom teaching, meals for students, etc...
Then
there will be a presentation on peer violence with a special focus on cyber
violence, which is common today. All participants will get acquainted with
cyber violence on social networks through a prepared digital game by the team
of teachers. Through interesting windows, they should identify the real bully
in a school, while the teachers will act as detectives. The game is created on
the "Genially" portal. The next activity is a visit to the student
dormitory in Macedonia "Tome Stefanovski – Senic." The goal is to get
acquainted with a student dormitory in North Macedonia, its functioning, and to
tour the premises. In the conference room, they will meet a representative from
MAK PETROL, a fuel company in North Macedonia, which is a guide for the violence
platform. The platform is called "Raise Your Voice against Peer
Violence." This platform has already existed for two years in North
Macedonia.
They
will also get acquainted with many stories as part of the campaign through
which classmates from North Macedonia have gone and which they have been
encouraged to talk about.
The final activity will be the promotion of
the Handbook "Don't Stay Silent, Break the Cycle, Stop the Violence,"
prepared by the team of teachers and professional staff in North Macedonia.
Teachers, together with students, worked on this handbook for several months.
In this handbook, there will be activities that can be implemented in all
countries with their own students, created according to European standards. The
students and teachers worked with dedication. The handbook also has an ISBN
number and permission for printing from the University Library of the Republic
of North Macedonia. The entire team of teachers involved in this project will
receive the handbook, and the other teachers in their schools will receive a
code to download it.
This
manual will be uploaded to the school's website, on the Game for Sel blog, on
social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook, and will be shared with
various associations related to education as well as with the Education
Department of our municipality. After these activities, certificates for
successfully completed work will be handed.
